Leadership
Sherman Oaks Presbyterian Church operates under a Presbyterian form of government, whereby representatives from the congregation serve the church as lay leaders on the board of Session. Session consists of the senior pastor and individuals approved by the congregation as Elders.
Elders
According to the Book of Order (G-6.030), Elders are described as “persons of faith, dedication, and good judgment. Their manner of life should be a demonstration of the Christian gospel, both within the church and in the world.” These members function as the main governing body of the church.
