The traditional worship service at Sherman Oaks Presbyterian church can be described in 3 words: Holy Spirit filled. Here at SOPC, we believe in encountering the Holy Spirit as well as experiencing Him. Our service is traditional in structure but our goal is to encounter the love and power of God. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, “….Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” (NIV), and we’re reminded of that freedom every time we come into the house of God. With the vision of our pastor, Rev. Zachary Kintner, and with worship led by our Chancel Choir singers, we desire to create a continuous atmosphere of prayer, praise, and worship that glorifies God and fills us up to for the coming week.
Our goal as a family of worshippers is to see people touched and ministered to by the Holy Spirit, and together, pursue His truth through our authority, God’s holy word. Our 9:00am service consists of Bible based liturgy, spirit filled hymns, anthems and special music, and the uncompromised word of God.
Attire varies from casual to dressy and pastoral prayer is always offered at the end of the service for those that desire to pray with the pastor for any specific situation or need. We also invite you to join us for coffee and fellowship after the service in the main courtyard.
Please join us on Sundays, at 9:00am as we meet with God, ready to receive and experience His awesome love and power!
